NEW YORK — The Mets clubhouse at Citi Field had a distinctly different look on Friday afternoon. For the first time since the trade deadline, the Mets will be playing on the home field against the Nationals at 7:10 p.m. on Friday in Flushing. The right side of the Mets' home locker room, which has usually housed the bullpen unit, was especially different as Nate Lavender, Jefry Yan and others got situated in their new domain. The home crowd will get a first glimpse at their new-look Mets in Friday's series opener. The Mets will see Robert Stock on the mound for the third time in 2026. After a strong debut at Citi Field, Stock stumbled and allowed eight earned runs over three innings in his latest start against the Pirates. The Nationals have Andrew Alvarez on the mound, making his 10th start and 18th appearance. The left-hander is 2-3 with a 3.76 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 69⅓ innings.
