's first print run’s special foil-covered edition may have proven too hasty. Not long after the standard Nintendo Switch 2 promotion announcement, a second and potentially more appealing pre-order option has appeared for the Zelda remake.

In this case, the game would still have a foil cover. It would also come with a special slip cover that you can put around the game's case to make it look like the original The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Nintendo 64 box. It's got a retro-but-classy feel, as you can see in the image below.

Here's the bad news: This Ocarina of Time remake pre-order is region and retailer exclusive. will get the N64 variant. Don't feel too jealous, though: Canadians pay more for their games. While in the U.S. the physical version costs $69.99, Canadians are paying the U.S. dollar equivalent of $79.25.

Over in the U.K., fans who pre-order via Nintendo can get during his adventure. There's also a regional pre-order that comes with . Neither is as good as the slip-cover, and in some cases the extras are already sold out. Still, for the fans who were able to nab the pre-orders in time, at least they're getting something aside from a shiny cover.

Elsewhere, the search for a Zelda Switch 2 console pre-order continues. Retailers like Amazon and Target have restocked multiple times since pre-orders went live — Amazon has made new stock available 22 separate times since midnight on Sept. 11.
