The New York Jets got off to an early 10 – 0 lead last night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first of three preseason games for the Jets. Cade Klubnik played reasonably well in leading the Jets offensive starters against the Buccaneers backups, and the Jets defensive starters shut down the Buccaneers offensive backups. Once both teams had their backups on the field the tide quickly turned. Tampa Bay outscored the Jets 24 – 6 the rest of the way en route to a 24 – 16 Jets loss. The best thing about the game was that the Jets did not appear to suffer any significant injuries. They’ll go on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers next week.
