LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KTSM) — The 2026 college football season is right around the corner, and New Mexico State will be one of the few teams getting its season started in Week 0.
The Aggies open the season Saturday, heading to Tallahassee to take on Florida State.
The Seminoles, led by head coach Mike Norvell, are looking to bounce back from a 5-7 season.
Auburn transfer quarterback Ashton Daniels and first-team All-ACC wide receiver Duce Robinson are two players expected to lead the way for Florida State.
For New Mexico State, Saturday marks the first time since 2019 that the Aggies have opened a season on the road.
NMSU knows it has its work cut out against the Seminoles, but the Aggies are excited for the opportunity to get the season started as one of the few teams playing in Week 0.
According to Action Network, NMSU is a 30.5-point underdog entering Saturday's matchup.
Kickoff at Doak Campbell Stadium is set for 5 p.m. Mountain Time.
