MLB's Field of Dreams Game returned for 2026 with two new teams and a different TV broadcaster to boot. For the 2026 game, Netflix has taken over for Fox due to a media rights deal, with the streaming giant having broadcast the Home Run Derby and Opening Night to kick off the season.
And right out of the gate at the Field of Dreams Game, fans got a look at one of their biggest complaints from Netflix's broadcast of the Opening Night New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants tilt: the scorebug.
Back in March, Netflix debuted a slim scorebug that had many across the baseball world squinting at their TVs because it was so small. While the overall design was nice and modern, the scorebug was quite petite.
Well, Netflix threw that all out the window after fans complained about the tiny scorebug for Opening Night, and on Thursday showed off a new chunky and large one instead. However, despite the bigger size, Netflix opted to make the new scorebug ... so, so ugly.
Netflix heard the critics on the Opening Day scorebug... and decided to just make an absolutely enormous one.

Look, it's a great scorebug for readability due to the size. But did we really need a giant "Netflix" logo when there's a small watermark on the upper right of the screen too? As scorebugs go, this is certainly not amongst the most aesthetically pleasing ones.
MLB fans noticed the new scorebug immediately, and cracked jokes about its bigger size and its visual downgrade from the streamer's last go around.
