Pole sitter Ryan Blaney and Chase Briscoe will start on the front row for Saturday night's Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway. They were fastest in Friday afternoon's qualifying.
After 23 consecutive races scheduled for Sunday afternoons and a couple of evenings, NASCAR's Cup Series will race on Saturday night three of the next six events, including the regular-season finale Aug. 29 at Daytona.
Richmond Raceway, which measures three-quarters of a mile, is the middle leg of three straight short-track races before Daytona. Iowa (seven-eighths of a mile) was last week and next week brings New Hampshire (one mile).
Richmond was a twice-a-year fixture for the Cup Series until last year when it was cut to once race date. Austin Dillon, with six career wins in 13 full-time Cup seasons, has won the last two Richmond races.
