Reviewing the preparations for the Dasara illumination at the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) office here, Mr. Bandisiddegowda directed officials to ensure that the lighting arrangements were carried out without causing any damage to trees.
He said the illumination should have a new and attractive design and concept this year, adding that preparations should be completed in a short period.
“The responsibility on us is greater this year. We must complete the preparations in a short time and come up with a new design and concept that has not been seen in the last three years,” he said.
He said the illumination should be planned in line with the concept and expectations of Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. Officials should discuss and exchange their new ideas and work collectively to implement them effectively, he added.
Mr. Bandisiddegowda also asked officials to obtain suggestions from those who had been involved in Dasara illumination works in previous years and work in coordination to make this year’s arrangements more attractive.
“Safety should be given the highest priority. Quality should be maintained in all works to ensure the successful execution of Dasara illumination,” he said.
CESC Superintending Engineer Sunil Kumar briefed the meeting on the preparations undertaken for the Dasara illumination.
CESC Technical Director L. Lokesh, officials and electrical contractors were present.
