
The letter, which was meant to facilitate the payment of Mr. Muneer’s pension, reportedly carried the name of former minister K. Babu instead of Mr. Muneer. Although the AG’s office has since issued a corrected letter, Mr. Muneer has not yet received the pension. Meanwhile, the Muslim League leader is also said to be unhappy over the delay in announcing his appointment as chairman of the Administrative Reforms Commission.
His absence from the main conference organised in connection with the Muslim Youth League (MYL) Kozhikode district conference earlier this week, despite being in the city, has raised eyebrows among party workers. IUML State president Syed Sadikali Shihab Thangal and national general secretary P.K. Kunhalikutty attended the event, which Mr. Muneer did not attend.
