
YSRCP senior leader Botcha Satyanarayana and TDP leader Majji Srinivasa Rao, who is also the Zilla Parishad chairman, announced that their daughters will be in the fray for the Municipal and Parishad elections, while JSP senior leader Avanapu Vikram’s wife is keen to contest the ensuing polls.
Opposition leader of State Legislative Council and YSRCP senior leader Mr. Satyanarayana’s daughter Botcha Anusha, who is a doctor by profession, has been actively participating in the party’s review meetings which were organised in Garividi, Cheepurupalli, Vizianagaram and other places. She has recently led the agitation over the alleged scam in teachers’ recruitment drive. Meanwhile, former Deputy Speaker in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and YSRCP senior leader Kolagatla Sravani is keen to contest for the Mayor post if Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation comes under the general category for reservations. Ms. Sravani previously held the post of Deputy Mayor of Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation.
Mr. Rao, who recently joined TDP, has been encouraging his daughter Majji Siri Sahasra to contest the local body elections. Ms. Sahasra, who has been taking up service activities in the name of ‘Chinna Srinu soldiers’, has recently met Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu along with her father.
Former Urban Bank chairperson Kalla Gowri Shankar’s daughter and wife of Jana Sena Party leader Avanapu Bhavana is keen to contest local body elections if the party provides her an opportunity. Dr. Bhavana, who is the wife of JSP senior leader Avanapu Vikram, has been participating in JSP activities regularly. She was previously chairperson of the Vizianagaram Marketing Committee during the YSRCP regime.
