Tennessee Titans quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is being evaluated for a bicep injury after leaving practice early on Aug. 17, Robert Saleh said. Trubisky had participated through the majority of practice, then wasn't involved late in the session in 11-on-11 with the No. 2 team offense. "Trubisky is getting looked at for his bicep. I think we're good, but again, I'm the eternal optimist," Saleh said after practice. Trubisky also played sparingly in the preseason opener, two series late in the first half with the No. 2 offense. The UNC alum has practiced with the No. 2 offense throughout camp this summer, indicating that he has secured the No. 2 job ahead of fourth-year QB Will Levis.

Trubisky, 31, was the No. 2 overall pick of the Chicago Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft. After two stints with the Bills sandwiching a couple years in Pittsburgh, Trubisky signed with the Titans in free agency in March. Trubisky has 57 career starts over nine seasons, last in 2023 with the Steelers. He played in four games last year for the Bills in mop-up time.
