Fikayo Tomori is no longer part of the project under Ruben Amorim at Milan, whilst Lazio could seek to sell Nuno Tavares before the close of the summer transfer window, and the latest reports claim that there could be a potential swap deal on the cards between the two clubs.

Could Milan and Lazio swap Tomori and Tavares?

Earlier this week, it emerged that a list of players, including Tomori and the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Youssouf Fofana are now considered surplus to requirements by Amorim, who was appointed as the new Rossoneri head coach exactly one month ago today.

Tomori is into the final year of his contract with Milan, expiring on June 30, 2027, and according to reports from Calciomercato.com, he is currently valued in the region of €20m, potentially slightly lower.

A similar fee has been cited for Lazio left-back Tavares, who has been ‘proposed’ to several sides this summer, including Milan, as he seeks a move away from the Stadio Olimpico.

The Rossoneri are reportedly keen to add another full-back to their ranks, especially if Pervis Estupinan is allowed to leave before the end of the window.

Italian outlet La Repubblica claims that the two clubs have discussed both Tomori and Tavares over the last few hours and suggests that if there is a willingness from both sides, this could potentially turn into a negotiation for a rare swap deal, or potentially a player-plus-cash deal.
