La Sasso spoke to reporters after his final round at The Club at Chatham Hills on Sunday evening.The 22-year-old was asked whether winning LIV Indianapolis was bittersweet without Mickelson in attendance.
“He sent us a text last night I know he was watching, he said it was the most fun he’s had,“ he replied.

“I’m thankful for everything he’s done for me.“
It’s a real shame that Mickelson hasn’t played much in 2026. He clearly has a lot of off-course issues that he needs to address.
Hopefully he does exactly that and we get to see him back in action next year alongside La Sasso.
