MIAMI GARDENS ― It's the most nervous time of the year around the Miami Dolphins' training facility.
All that's left for the players in training camp are a few practices and one preseason game, Aug. 28 vs. Atlanta.
For some, their dreams will become a reality when cut-down day arrives and they still have a playbook and a locker.
For many, their NFL dream gets put on hold. Or may be over.

Rosters must be cut to 53 players by 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30. That does not necessarily mean that players still on the roster at that point have made the Dolphins' "final" roster, because there is no such thing as a final roster. Especially in this rebuilding phase, general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan will be scouring the waiver wire for players who could help this team. It would be surprising if after cut-down day Miami doesn't make at least a couple of changes.
Still, here's a look at what coach Jeff Hafley's initial 53-man roster will look like. The Dolphins drafted 13 players this spring. It's possible all 13 make the initial roster, although we have the final draftee, defensive end Max Llewellyn, on the wrong side of the bubble. Llewellyn was a seventh-rounder from Iowa. The choice could come down to Llewellyn or David Ojabo, the Baltimore Ravens' second-round pick in 2022.
