The speculation started after Crosby reacted to an Instagram post celebrating Miller’s move to Dallas. Crosby left three goat emojis on the post, a small gesture that quickly became a big talking point among Cowboys and Raiders fans.
Given Miller’s history as one of Crosby’s pass-rushing influences, the reaction could easily be viewed as simple respect between two elite defenders. But with Dallas now adding Miller, some fans immediately began wondering whether the move could eventually open the door for Crosby to follow.
Crosby has long considered Miller a mentor, while his ties to Texas and offseason work with Cowboys players have added fuel to the rumor.
As expected, the speculation quickly spread across social media, with some fans encouraging the rumors while others tried to pump the brakes.

TheRaiderRoom pushed back at Cowboys fans who continue to predict a Crosby trade: “Maybe this’ll shut the Cowboys fans up that think they’re getting Raiders’ Maxx Crosby.”
One fan admitted that a Crosby trade would make the Cowboys’ fanbase even louder: “The Cowboys trade for Maxx, I’ll be insufferable on this here app.”
Stephen Mac took the reaction as a possible hint that more could be coming down the line, writing, “Current and future teammates expressing their excitement for Von Miller!”
Not everyone viewed Crosby’s comment as evidence of a potential move. One acknowledged that the interaction probably meant little while still enjoying the speculation: “Maxx Crosby replied to Von Miller’s post about joining the Cowboys. It doesn’t mean anything but I do like fanning the flames.”

Crosby’s reaction alone does not provide any evidence that the Raiders are preparing to trade him.
The 28-year-old remains the centerpiece of Las Vegas’ defense, and there has been no indication from the team that it is actively shopping its star pass rusher.
Still, Dallas’ decision to add Miller has naturally reopened questions about how aggressive the Cowboys could be with their defensive line.
Cowboys insider Bobby Belt also addressed the possibility, noting that Miller’s signing would not necessarily prevent Dallas from pursuing Crosby if the team decided to make a serious push.
For now, though, Crosby remains in Las Vegas while Dallas focuses on getting the most out of its new veteran pass rusher. The latest social media exchange may keep the rumor alive, but there is still a long way to go before it becomes anything more than speculation.
