Marvel’s X-Men Movie Casts The Boys Star in Major Role

Last month at for its upcoming X-Men movie, which will introduce fan-favorite X-Men like Cyclops and Storm to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. On Thursday, we learned the next mutant who will be joining the reboot: Angel. revealed Asa Germann "is in final talks" to play Warren Worthington III, better known as Angel. Germann is best known for his role as Sam Riordan in Amazon Prime Video's Gen V and his supporting role in Scream 7. According to THR, Germann had previously auditioned for Cyclops/Scott Summers, but that role went to Heartstopper star Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while there's no word yet if Iceman and/or Beast will be included in director Jake Schreier's X-Men reboot.

Angel's mutation manifested as large, white, angel-like wings that allow him the ability to fly. He made his big-screen debut in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand (played by Ben Foster). In that film, his mutation caused his father to develop the "mutant cure" that's the source of the story's conflict. A villainous version of Angel appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse (played by Ben Hardy); he joined Apocalypse as one of his Horsemen and became Archangel.

X-Men will arrive in theaters on May 5, 2028. It will star Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, Christopher Abbott as Professor X/Charles Xavier,
