The Seattle Mariners have followed up a playoff berth with a disappointing season that ended with similar hopes dashed, in particularly violent fashion on Friday. Then, in the first game of the off-season, those same silly Mariners went and won decisively and dare I say, entertainingly. Okay, so the season being over bit is hopefully obviously facetious, but the outlook remains grim nonetheless. In today’s Sunday game three against the Astros the series win is on the line for either team, but perhaps more emphatically, Seattle’s season’s hopes remain hanging onto an even thinner strip, and with but a pinky. Play ball!
