Ezri Konsa is the subject of serious transfer interest from Arsenal in this window, with the Gunners in active talks to sign the Aston Villa defender.
Konsa has been one of the top defenders in the Premier League over the last few seasons, and Arsenal are keen to add him to their squad at the Emirates.
Arsenal Pursuing Defensive Reinforcement

Alan Pardew wants Manchester United to sign Konsa, despite Arsenal already being in discussions over his signature. Pardew believes the defender would be an excellent addition to the United squad and has highlighted several qualities that could make him valuable.
As quoted by Talk Sport, he said:
“Konsa has been mentioned with a couple of clubs. What a signing he would be for Man United!
“A centre-back who can pass, who’s dominant in the air, gets you a goal from a set piece, just like Steve Bruce.”
Konsa’s ability to contribute both defensively and when attacking set pieces has been identified as one of his strengths. His passing and aerial dominance could also make him an attractive option for a club seeking greater depth in central defence.
With Arsenal already in active talks, the defender’s future could become clearer before the transfer window closes. However, United’s reported interest, along with Pardew’s recommendation, could add further competition for his signature as clubs assess their defensive options.
