Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique de Marseille are reportedly interested in West Ham United’s Soungoutou Magassa (22), according to Foot Mercato.
Whilst no offer has yet been made by either club, they are likely to face stiff competition, with Galatasaray, Eintracht Frankfurt and Juventus also reportedly targeting the midfielder.
Having arrived in London from AS Monaco for a fee of €17m last summer, the Stains-born player made 26 appearances in all competitions (one goal, one assist) for the Hammers last season.
Although he remains under contract with West Ham until 2031, the club’s relegation to the Championship means they are forced to raise funds. This could involve the sale of a player such as Magassa, particularly as they have already pocketed over €175m following the high-profile sales of Mateus Fernandes (21) to Tottenham Hotspur and Crysencio Summerville (24) to Al-Hilal.
