We are just a handful of days from the start of the season for Kentucky Volleyball.

After going undefeated in Southeastern Conference play, winning the SEC Tournament and finishing as the NCAA Tournament Runner-Up last December, the Wildcats are primed for another big year.

Kentucky sits at No. 3 in the AVCA Preseason Top 25 Coaches’ Poll and have been picked to win the SEC for a 10th consecutive time.

Head coach Craig Skinner was on-air with Larry Vaught — along with Jack Pilgrim — yesterday and was asked an interesting question that was followed by an even more interesting answer.

Skinner was asked if there was a way to get last year’s star outside hitter and 2025 SEC Player of the Year Eva Hudson back for a fifth season due to new court rulings regarding 5th year eligibility.

Well, well, well. @UKCoachSkinner did not give a straight up no on @SundayAMSports when asked by @JackPilgrimKSR if any way to get @evahud12 back for a 5th year with all these new court rulings. Wouldn't that be something pic.twitter.com/53aJEcVhFa

— Vaughts' Views (@vaughtsviews) August 16, 2026

He did not give a clear “no” even though it might be a challenge to jump through all of the hoops to have her back on the roster.

Hudson has already played a full year of professional volleyball with LOVB Atlanta.

Adding her back to a loaded roster that has also brought on Morgan Gaerte from Notre Dame would certainly be something.
