Juventus are desperate to sign a new goalkeeper during this transfer window, and the Bianconeri have been working to ensure that happens as soon as possible. Their search has already taken several unexpected turns, leaving the club with limited options as the new season approaches.

When last season ended, Juventus quickly tried to sign Alisson Becker from Liverpool. They then turned their attention to Emi Martinez when it became clear that Alisson would not be allowed to leave Liverpool.

Juventus Continue Goalkeeper Search

Aston Villa also refused to sell Martinez, forcing the Bianconeri to consider other options. Their attention then turned towards Zion Suzuki, whom they were also unable to sign directly from Parma.

Juventus wanted to bring Suzuki in on loan after he completed his move to PSG, but even that plan is now in doubt. The club have therefore turned their attention towards Guglielmo Vicario, whom they want to sign on loan from Tottenham.

Spurs would reportedly prefer to sell Vicario rather than loan him out, meaning that move also appears complicated from the outset. That is particularly concerning for Juventus, with the new season due to get underway in just a few days.

Criticism Over Juventus’ Approach

Juventus need to resolve the goalkeeping position, and Paolo Paganini is unhappy with the way the Bianconeri have handled their search for a new number one. He believes the club should have shown greater conviction when addressing such an important position.

As reported via Tuttojuve, Paganini said: “I was surprised by the management of the goalkeeping problem, because the final solution, that of borrowing him from PSG, doesn’t seem like the best. We’re talking about a key role in which I expected the club to invest with conviction, but evidently the club’s coffers have imposed restrictions that have prevented them from acting in a certain way.”

The comments underline the uncertainty surrounding Juventus’ search for a goalkeeper. With several targets already proving difficult to secure, the Bianconeri now face a race against time to find a solution before the new campaign begins.

The situation also highlights the financial limitations influencing Juventus’ plans. While the club continue to explore loan options, their difficulties in securing their preferred targets have left the goalkeeping position unresolved, increasing the pressure to act quickly.
