According to , Liam Coen’s Jacksonville Jaguars are 8.5-point home favorites against Todd Monken’s Cleveland Browns. It’ll be the latter’s first game as an NFL head coach, and his starting quarterback is a familiar foe for Jaguars faithful.
Deshaun Watson, who was at one point the obvious successor to Andrew Luck as the king of the AFC South, has soured into one of the worst players in the National Football League. In 2024, he was the NFL’s least efficient passer through Week 7, when he ruptured his right Achilles tendon. Just a few months after he underwent surgery, he rolled his ankle and re-ruptured the same Achilles tendon. The nasty man turns 31 on Monday.
Cleveland’s quarterback sucks. The bigger news is that, for the first time in a decade, reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett will not be wearing orange and brown. The Browns have significant questions across its roster. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them forecasted for a top-three 2027 draft pick by the middle of the season.
