England's only victory in Australia during that span came in December 2025, when Ben Stokes's side claimed a four-wicket result at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 2025-26 Ashes series. That win ended a wait of 5,468 days for England to record a Test victory on Australian soil.
Bangladesh, by contrast, had never previously won a Test in Australia. The Darwin match was only their third appearance in the country, and they had not played a Test on Australian soil for 23 years before this series.
