He’s out there slinging the ball, man. I’ll tell you what. Uh, obviously practice, it doesn’t matter if your quarterback is coming off an injury or not. He’s got on the special jersey. You’re not, you got to stay away from the QB. A lot of the season is dictated on how good the quarterback plays And that’s every team at every level, which is why there’s that golden rule, don’t touch the quarterback, don’t hit the quarterback, because that’s the guy that’s going to help catapult your team into into victory in a lot of different ways. And uh he’s he’s the most important position in football.”

The quarterback suffered torn ACL and LCL injuries in his left knee during the Chiefs’ Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last December. Mahomes underwent surgery the following day to repair both ligaments.

Talking about the quarterback’s health and how he is doing on the football field, Travis said:

“I could see the determination.I could see the frustration in his mind that it it got to this point this year. And you know, that was uh that’s a huge reason why I’m still playing the game because I know that guy I like I want to be there for that guy. Uh you know, in every aspect of the game. Um and I think that’s uh that’s exciting coming into the year. We get a fresh start.”

The team is doing everything it can to make sure that the quarterback is ready for the season. The trainers he has worked with in the building and his quarterback coaches are making sure that he is able to run, move, throw on the run and be creative like he was before the injury.

Mahomes’ recovery will be one of the biggest factors for the Chiefs heading into the new season. The quarterback has been an important part of the team’s success over the years, and having him healthy on the field will be crucial. Kelce’s comments also show how closely he has watched Mahomes work through the difficult recovery process.

With Mahomes continuing to make progress, the Chiefs will be hoping their quarterback can stay healthy and help the team compete at the highest level again.

More NFL news from Gridiron Heroics

‘Doesn’t Sit Well With Me’ — Steve Sarkisian Doesn’t Hold Back on NCAA Welcoming Ex NFL Players Back to College

’Couldn’t Have Found Himself in a Better Spot’ — NFL Insider Raves Over Rams’ Handling of Ty Simpson Months After Draft Pick Backlash

This Is Pretty Delicate’ — Ex NFL Scout Highlights Issues With 49ers and Christian McCaffery’s Contract Challenges

About Prasen Singh

Prasen is an NFL analyst at Gridiron Heroics.
