Detroit — The Tigers and Cleveland Guardians are settling their series at Comerica Park on Thursday.
The Tigers won the series opener, 6-4, on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, the Guardians flipped the scoreboard, winning, 6-4. The series finale is set for 1:10 Thursday.
The Tigers enter Thursday at 59-61, 3.5 games in the division and a half-game back of the final wild-card spot.

Thursday's game marks the latest of 10 Tigers games that are being simulcast on over-the-air TV, or free TV, on Fox 2.
Detroit SportsNet offering 7-day free trial
The Tigers announced Thursday morning that Detroit SportsNet is running a 48-hour special where fans can get a seven-day free trial. It's a good time for Tigers fans, with a big series against the first-place Chicago White Sox up next.
The offer ends at 10 a.m. Aug. 15.
The Tigers are in their first season on Detroit SportsNet, and the Red Wings move to DSN for the 2026-27 season.
