The fundraiser for Malala Fund runs September 13-19.
Games Done Quick
Summer is winding down, but gamers haven't turned down the heat. This Sunday is the start of Flame Fatales, a week-long charity speedrunning marathon raising money for and if there's anything in particular you're keen to watch.
Said schedule has more than 50 runs this time around, and it's a great-looking mix of high-skill gaming and fun meme events. I'm particularly excited for the 70 Star race of Super Mario 64 (Rogue Chaos Edition) on Monday night around 8PM ET. This version of the game will introduce positive and negative effects for the runners every time they obtain a star, key or cap switch, which sounds like it'll be pretty hilarious. A lockout bingo race in Animal Crossing: New Horizons also sounds like it'll be both fun and cozy; that one happens on Wednesday around 7PM ET. And as usual, the final day is wall-to-wall good stuff, beginning with Hollow Knight: Silksong and closing with Mass Effect 3.
The group's summer Flame Fatales event benefits Malala Fund, which works toward getting secondary education for girls around the world. Frame Fatales has raised more than $1 million for its charity partners since 2019.
