When looking at the Houston Texans' roster entering 2026, just how valuable is the team?
Like in general, when compared to the Los Angeles Rams or the Dallas Cowboys, where does Houston stack up in sales price entering the fourth year of the DeMeco Ryans' era?
Sportico.com recently released its data points for the 2026 season for the value of every NFL franchise entering the new year. At the top, to no one's surprise, ranked the Cowboys and Rams, headlined by owners Jerry Jones and Stan Kroenke. Both teams came in registering a sell price at over $12 billion, with the Cowboys reaching $15.5 billion.
As for the Texans, they actually took a step back from their 2025 ranking, moving down to No. 13 overall at $9.52 billion. While the value change rose to 33%, it also saw the Seattle Seahawks' value rise by 46% following their Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots.
And given that the team was sold for an NFL-record-setting $9.61 billion this offseason by the Paul G. Allen estate, that marker would overthrow Houston for the No. 12 ranking.
Here's a list of the top 10 teams and their values going into the new season. Houston, which will begin its 25th season, ranks first among all AFC teams, surpassing the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans at its current market value.
