Glasgow City defender Lana Golob joins Portuguese side Porto, the club have confirmed. Golob joined City last summer from Italian outfit Bologna and became a mainstay in the heart of Leanne Ross' defence. The 26-year-old helped City secure a record-equalling seventh League Cup last term and scored in the side's 6-0 final day victory over Rangers. 'A big thank you to all the Glasgow City fans for your support over the past year," the Slovenia international told club media. "Your encouragement throughout the season has meant a lot. I'm also grateful for the time spent with such a great group of teammates and the memories we've made together. "Thank you for everything, and I wish you all the very best for the future." [BBC]
