The Las Vegas Raiders have released veteran wide receiver Noah Brown, ending his brief stint with the team just days after he joined the organization. The move is another reminder of how quickly roster spots can disappear this time of year as teams prepare for the start of the NFL regular season.

Brown’s short Raiders stint is over
Now, just over a week later, the Raiders have decided to move on.
Brown entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2017 and spent his first five seasons with the organization. He then played for the Houston Texans in 2023 before spending the 2024 and 2025 seasons with Washington.
The 30-year-old has appeared in 91 NFL games, making 38 starts, while recording 155 receptions for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns. He also averaged 13.4 yards per reception over his eight seasons.

Veteran receiver now searching for another opportunity
Still, Brown has shown throughout his career that he can be a useful complementary receiver. His best season came in 2022 with Dallas, when he caught 43 passes for 555 yards and three touchdowns while starting 13 games.
That experience could still make him attractive to another team looking for veteran depth.
With injuries inevitably impacting rosters and teams making difficult decisions before the regular season, Brown could get another opportunity relatively quickly. But for now, his latest NFL stop lasted only a matter of days.
After eight seasons and more than 2,000 career receiving yards, the former Cowboys and Texans receiver is once again looking for a new home.
