MASON − After two weather-delayed days of qualifying, the first round of the Cincinnati Open is slated to begin on Thursday, Aug. 13 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
Qualifying rounds on Wednesday, Aug. 12 were pushed back by several delays as a steady rain washed over Mason. The tournament canceled the session to the fans but matches eventually began at night while the grounds remained closed to the public.
There are still a few qualifying matches that were pushed to Thursday, but the majority of the 28 matches on tap come from the main draw. Former top 10 player Jack Draper opens on Center Court against Spain's Martin Landaluce.

During the night session, Gael Monfils farewell tour continues in a match against fellow wild card Rinky Hijikata. To finish the night, Madeira's Caty McNally will battle compatriot McCartney Kessler.
