WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita Northwest High School opened the first sanctioned girls flag football season with a 13-8 win over Kapaun Mt. Carmel at home Wednesday night.
The Crusaders jumped on the board first and led 6-0 in the first half. But from that point forward, the Grizzlies outscored them 13-2.
Northwest hosts Wichita West High School next week, while Kapaun heads to Wichita Southeast High School.
