After two weeks of waiting, Buford (Ga.) will finally get to see its five-star defensive lineman suit up for the Wolves.
Texas Tech commit Jalen Brewster has officially been ruled eligible to play for in its interstate matchup against Miami Central (Fla.) on Thursday, Sept. 10, according to Rivals' Chad Simmons.
Brewster announced his decision to transfer from Cedar Hill (Texas) High School following 39-19 win over Gainesville in its season opener that was broadcasted on ESPN.
While the Wolves were idle the following Friday, Aug. 28, Brewster was expected to make his debut against Mallard Creek on Friday, Sept. 4. However, the day before kickoff, his eligibility forms to GHSA ahead of the matchup and he did not appear in the game.
The Wolves pushed past the Mavericks in what was a defensive shutout — even without Brewster. Buford turned four first-half takeaways into touchdowns en route to a 41-7 win over Mallard Creek.
