LeJeune got a firsthand look at Florida State's defense versus SMU, and it wasn't pretty. Yes, they created four turnovers, but they also gave up 585 yards and nearly 30 points. Once again, just like their season opener, they were terrible on third down, allowing eight conversions on 14 attempts.

It has been a rough start for defensive coordinator Tony White’s unit, but LeJeune believes that things will improve at some point.

"I'm feeling good about FSU," LeJeune said.

This is a great sign for Florida State regarding LeJeune, but it doesn't mean things can't change. So, to ensure that LeJeune remains on board, they need to win. It's as simple as that.
