Donnarumma Gets 5, Haaland With 5.5 | Manchester City Players Rated In Disappointing Loss Vs Arsenal

Manchester City clashed heads with Arsenal at Principality Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a good result in the Community Shield final. The Mancunian club made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the first-minute when Riccardo Calafiori found the back of the net. Kai Havertz made it 2-0 to Arsenal in the 28th minute as Enzo Maresca’s players went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Martin Odegaard put daylight between the two sides in the 48th minute as Man City crashed to a disappointing 3-0 loss in Cardiff.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player fared during the clash against the Gunners.

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma – 5/10

Donnarumma couldn’t have done better to prevent Havertz’s goal. It was a tough outing for him.

RB: Abdukodir Khusanov – 6.5/10

He did his fair share of defending and was a strong presence in the air.

CB: Ruben Dias – 6.5/10

Dias dealt with the danger when he could, but failed to keep things solid at the back.

CB: Josko Gvardiol – 6.5/10

He made two important clearances at the back, but would not be pleased about conceding three goals today.

LB: Nico O’Reilly – 6/10

He struggled to impress during his time on the field.

CM: Mateo Kovacic – 6/10

Kovacic lacked quality on the ball and struggled to recover when the Gunners were breaking fast on the counter.

CM: Elliot Anderson – 6/10

He was full of energy but failed to make a difference on both halves.

RW: Antoine Semenyo – 6/10

Semenyo caught the eye at times on the right flank but lacked quality in the final third.

CAM: Phil Foden – 6/10

He was not shy of having a strike at goal, but never looked like he would get his name on the scoresheet.

LW: Jeremy Doku – 6.5/10

Doku caused some headaches for the Arsenal defenders, but lacked the cutting edge in the final third.

ST: Erling Haaland – 5.5/10

Haaland looked way off the pace today and was substituted early in the second half.

LW: Jack Grealish – 6.5/10

He made two decent chances in the final third.

ST: Omar Marmoush – 6/10

Marmoush failed to make a difference after coming off the bench.

CB: Marc Guehi – 6.5/10

He kept things solid at the back.

RB: Rico Lewis – 6/10

His impact on the game was minimal.

RW: Rayan Cherki – 6.5/10

He made two key chances up top.
