Going back to 2020, there have only been nine minor leaguers to record 100 RBIs and 100 runs in one season.

Here in 2026, Josue De Paula finds himself joining that list.

The Los Angeles Dodgers top-ranked prospect becomes the fifth Dodgers prospect to do so in that span, joining the likes of James Outman, Michael Busch, Jason Martin, and Ryan Ward.

Ward had 100 RBIs and 100 runs last season, so it marks back-to-back seasons where the Dodgers have had prospects absolutely tearing it up in the minors leagues.

Obviously, the biggest problem currently with De Paula is the fact that there's no room for him on the big league roster, but that conversation will be revisited in due time.

De Paula is hitting .303 this season

With a career .286 batting average in the minors, it's not a surprise to see De Paula hitting so well this season.

It may be his first full year at Double-A, but the 21-year-old is putting up incredible numbers. His slash line sits at .303/.398/.546 with a .944 OPS that is only behind the .970 he had as a rookie in 2022.

De Paula's ETA is currently listed as 2027, and that makes complete sense. He still hasn't proven himself at the Triple-A level, and until he does, the Dodgers have no real reason to call him up or rush his development.

That said, there's no doubt what he's done this year has put the organization on notice. De Paula recorded his 100 RBI, 100 run season in 119 games played, doing so in just 482 at-bats.

In addition to those stellar numbers, he has 35 doubles on the year and has hit 26 home runs. Keep in mind, he only hit 29 homers combined from 2022 to 2025. His recent power surge has further added to why he's the tam's top prospect, and that hype will continue to surround him when he makes his eventual debut at the Triple-A level.

Dodgers prospects keep making history

Not every single notable Dodgers prospect has gone on to succeed at the major league level, but it's incredible to even think De Paula is in the same conversation as Outman, Busch, Martin, and Ward.

Currently, four of the Dodgers top 10 prospects are outfielders, so players like No. 2 Mike Sirota, No. 3 Eduardo Quintero, and No. 6 Charles Davalan could all give De Paula a run for his money.
