The Brooklyn Nets recently found out what their entire schedule for the 2026-27 NBA season will be and as usual, the Nets will be faced with some circumstances that no team wants to deal with. Brooklyn was already expecting not to be broadcasted on national television that much given that the franchise is rebuilding, but there are some wondering if the NBA gave them more bad luck than necessary. "Theoretically all 30 teams should have same level schedules. They play same number of games vs same number of opponents BUT Nets with most back-to-backs, including 3 involving the Knicks; fewest national TV games; two 5-game road trips, etc. seem to have single worst schedule," NetsDaily wrote in a post on X on Friday. As ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel pointed out on X, the Nets are tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for the most back-to-backs (16) of any team next season. Granted, the NBA has been able to lower back-to-backs and three games in four nights scenarios for every team, but the least amount of back-to-backs that any team is playing is 13. Also, with the Nets expected to be one of the worst teams in the league next season, it makes sense that they are not being showcased on national television as much as other teams. However, it seems that the combination of the Nets having 16 instances of back-to-backs and dealing with two separate cases of five-game road trips, Brooklyn has a tough schedule ahead of them. As it pertains to the notable games on the Nets' schedule, they have two games on national television at the Minnesota Timberwolves (Julius Randle's return to Minnesota) and against the Chicago Bulls (Nic Claxton's return to Brooklyn). Once next season comes around, Brooklyn will be concerned with integrating Randle into the offense alongside forward Michael Porter Jr. while also continuing the development of Egor Demin and Mikel Brown Jr. However, there will be some fans wondering if the Nets have the best chance to exceed expectations given some of their unfavorable circumstances dictated by the schedule.
