Being an All-American is one of the highest honors in college football. It represents players who are among the best of the best at their position, and the Oregon Ducks certainly have some of the best talent in multiple areas of the field.
Oregon has arguably the best roster in terms of talent in the country, led by Heisman-contending quarterback Dante Moore and a slew of talented weapons in the passing game. The Ducks have a veteran front all returning for another season defensively as well, and a young and emerging secondary looking to build upon a great season.
The Associated Press revealed on Tuesday its 2026 preseason All-American teams, and multiple Ducks made the list. Moore earned the nod as the first-team quarterback, just ahead of Ole Miss' Trinidad Chambliss, who earned second-team honors. In 2025, Moore threw for 3,565 yards and 30 touchdowns, guiding the Ducks to the College Football Playoff semifinal. He was also a third-team All-Big Ten selection. He passed on a top-3 pick in the NFL draft to come back to Oregon to chase a championship and even more accolades.
Moore isn't the only Duck with first-team honors. Senior defensive tackle A'Mauri Washington, who also passed on the NFL for another year in Eugene, earned one of the two nominations on the first team, next to Oklahoma's David Stone. Washington is a great representative of waiting and developing with the Ducks, having broken through last season.
Washington didn't start until last season, his third with the Ducks, and earned a third-team All-Big Ten selection after managing 33 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and eight pass deflections at the line of scrimmage. He also had 1.5 sacks. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds, Washington is a wrecking ball against the run and a nuisance with a knack for getting his hand to the ball at the line of scrimmage to tip passes.
Minnesota transfer Koi Perich also managed to earn a first-team nod, alongside Georgia's KJ Bolden. He was the top safety available in the transfer portal, and the Ducks pulled him in to replace Dillon Thieneman as another veteran in the secondary with great ball skills. In two seasons with the Golden Gophers, Perich collected 128 tackles, six interceptions, four pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and one sack.
Perich is also a threat on special teams as a punt or kickoff returner, where he starred at Minnesota. His speed and vision for the field make him another capable center fielder for the Ducks' defense and a dynamic return man, if the Ducks opt to use him on special teams as well.
Oregon also earned one second-team selection in sophomore cornerback Brandon Finney Jr., who starred as one of the nation's best freshmen last season. Finney racked up 44 tackles, three interceptions and eight pass breakups en route to a Freshman All-American selection and an All-Big Ten second-team nomination. He will be tasked with handling the top receiving threat from opposing offenses this season. Finney was also named a Walter Camp Preseason All-American.
The Ducks are rolling in preseason accolades and watch lists, setting the tone heading into the season after placing No. 2 in the AP preseason Top 25.
