The Cowboys have agreed to terms with backup tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford on a three-year extension, his agent, Mike McCartney, announced on social media.

Spann-Ford was scheduled to become a restricted free agent in 2027.

He was scheduled to make $966,666 this season.

The Cowboys signed the former Minnesota Golden Gopher as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He has played all 34 games since and supplanted Luke Schoonmaker, a second-round pick in 2023, as the team's No. 2 tight end.

He has made only 18 catches for 178 yards and a touchdown, but has played 25.5 percent of the team's offensive snaps over the past two seasons. He has also played 357 special teams snaps, becoming a core special teams player in 2025.
