After a great rookie season, Daniels came back down to earth in 2025. The Commanders struggled to find wins as Daniels missed more than half of their games.Daniels said he has taken , according to CommandersWire.com.
“I think everybody has an opinion, no matter whether it’s good or bad,” Daniels said. “It’s nothing I can really control, to the point everybody’s gonna say something. I just gotta — the only thing that matters to me is the people inside that building, you know, my family. And helping the Washington Commanders win football games to be the best version of myself.”
Daniels said he has a firm foundation that helps him navigate the criticisms.
“I would just say my faith,” Daniels said. “My faith in Jesus Christ, man. I mean, without him, I wouldn’t be here at this point. So, you know, never get too high, never get too low, try to stay even-keeled. You know, like I said, they’re gonna talk about you regardless, good or bad.”
If Daniels really has learned his lesson about avoiding hits when he scrambles, that’s a great thing for the Commanders. However, they will have to protect him enough to give him time to scramble. And the NFL’s worst offensive line may have trouble doing that.
