You’ll soon see Ross Steelman on the PGA Tour.

The Columbia product and former Rock Bridge and Mizzou golf standout won the Albertsons Boise Open on Sunday, securing his second Korn Ferry Tour title in the past five events and, in the process, locking up PGA Tour status for the 2027 season.

Steelman won the event by three shots at 27 under par, posting three straight rounds of 7-under 64 to close out the event in Boise, Idaho, after opening the week with a 65.

With two wins in the past month, after also winning the The Blue Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour on July 12, Steelman is graduating to the top tier of professional golf.

Steelman moved to the No. 1 spot in the Korn Ferry Tour’s season-long points race with his win in Boise. He is the second player, following Doc Redman, to earn a PGA Tour card from the developmental tour this season.

There are 20 available PGA Tour cards given to Korn Ferry Tour players via a season-long points race, which began in January and will end with the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in mid-October.

Korn Ferry Tour players also automatically receive a promotion to the PGA Tour if they win three times in a single season. Steelman is one win away from that rare achievement, although he’s going to be a PGA Tour member either way.

Ross Steelman of the United States plays his shot from the 18th tee during the second round of the Evans Scholars Invitational at The Glen Club on July 24, 2026 in Glenview, Illinois.

Steelman is also now the player to catch in the KFT’s season-long points race. The player who finishes No. 1 on the points list earns a spot in next year’s U.S. Open and The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in addition to PGA Tour membership.

Steelman spent three seasons at Mizzou between 2018-21. He won two collegiate events, including Missouri’s home tournament at The Club at Old Hawthorne in 2021. Steelman transferred to Georgia Tech for his final two years of college and was a first-team All-American in 2023.

While at Rock Bridge, Steelman won the MSHSAA Class 4 individual title in 2018, also helping the Bruins to the team championship.

For the first time in his career, Steelman is now ranked among the top 100 in the Official World Golf Rankings. He is now ranked No. 85 in the world.
