The Cavs won’t be holding their preseason training camp in Ohio or in Florida, like in past years. Cavs players and coaches will have to suffer with training camp at The Embassy in Andalusia from Sept. 30 to Oct. 5, beginning the teams prep for the upcoming regular season, the team announced Sept. 2. For the record, that's in Spain on the Costa del Sol. The Embassy was built specifically as a high-performance basketball training center.
“Training camp is where the foundation for a season is built, and The Embassy provides our players, coaches and staff with an exceptional environment to begin that work,” said Koby Altman, Cavaliers president of basketball operations. "The facility has established itself as a destination for elite basketball talent and performance, and having José Calderón, who has been instrumental in its development, as part of our organization makes this an especially unique opportunity for our team." For the past two seasons, the team trained at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. The camp is a prelude to the start of the team’s preseason schedule, which begins Oct. 8 at Rocket Arena, followed by another home game against the Orlando Magic Oct. 11 and concluding with a game in Orlando Oct. 13. The team tips off the regular season on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers, Oct. 22. George M.
