Chivas Femenil Sub 19 remains unbeaten, as the young Rojiblancas traveled to the Zuazua facilities on Saturday morning to earn another point in the tournament after drawing 1-1 with Tigres in Matchday 5 of the Apertura 2026. Unfortunately for Guadalajara, they were unable to claim the additional point from the penalty shootout, falling 4-2.
The young Rebaño showed resilience throughout the match. Despite falling behind in the 14th minute following a set-piece goal, Cecilia Cabrera's team continued pushing forward at all times.
At the start of the second half, Guadalajara was rewarded for its efforts. Following a cross from the left, a poor clearance by the Tigres defense left the ball at Kennya Silva's feet inside the box. Without hesitation, she fired a low shot across goal to level the score.
With plenty of time still remaining, the Rojiblancas continued pushing for all three points, although Tigres' defensive work ultimately preserved the draw through the final whistle.
Chivas Femenil Sub 19 will once again face a team from northern Mexico in its next match, as it takes on Rayadas on Saturday, August 22, at 11 AM at Sports Arena in Matchday 6 of the AP26.
