In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Chelsea have launched a fresh enquiry for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott. It has been claimed that the Blues are still showing interest in recruiting the English talent in this transfer window.
Scott’s Impressive Form In The Premier League
Scott enjoyed a good run of form at the English club in the previous campaign when he produced a string of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The English midfield ace participated in 39 matches for Bournemouth last season, scoring four times and earning one assist across all competitions.
The 22-year-old is currently among the best central midfielders in the Premier League. Therefore, the Blues would do well to get a deal over the line for him this summer.
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Chelsea to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Should Chelsea Boss Xabi Alonso Bring Scott On Board?
Scott is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is a tidy passer as well from midfield.
The English sensation can shoot the ball with power from long range and is full of energy and running at the centre of the park. Scott is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as an attacking midfielder or as a right-winger if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to sign him this month.
We can expect Scott to bring more quality and depth to Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso’s first XI. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the West London club in the coming years.
At 22, Scott has a bright future ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for Chelsea to consider this summer. Hence, Alonso should focus on going all out to bring him on board in this transfer window.
