The NBA released schedules for all 30 NBA teams, including the Charlotte Hornets, Thursday afternoon. After a ninth-place finish in the Eastern Conference last season, the Hornets have six nationally televised games during the 2026-27 campaign.
Charlotte will open their season October 21st on the road against the Nets, after hosting them in their season opener last year. Charlotte's home opener will come two days later against the Atlanta Hawks.
Despite having six nationally televised matchups, the Hornets won't appear on national television until mid-January. The Hornets' first such game will come January 19 in Dallas as Kon Knueppel squares off against his college teammate Cooper Flagg. Charlotte's next primetime game (January 29) will also be on the road, this time against former Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Other nationally televised games include LaMelo Ball's return to Charlotte (February 15), another matchup against the Mavericks (February 13), a game against the Celtics (February 4) and a game against the Indiana Pacers (March 8).
