The two-time US Open champion's last non-major appearance on the circuit was at the DP McManus Pro-Am in July 2022 - a month after he made his high-profile move to LIV - but he will tee it up at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa. With the future of the Saudi breakaway remaining uncertain despite a restructuring after the country's Public Investment Fund announced it was withdrawing its support at the end of the year some of its big names are considering their options. The event's season-ending team championship was officially cancelled on Monday and a report has claimed Jon Rahm will make a return to the PGA Tour after negotiating a deal. Gary Player is such a force for good and that inspires me," said DeChambeau, who earlier this month said he "would love to play on the PGA Tour". "I've been privileged to have won Jack Nicklaus's tournament (The Memorial) and Arnold Palmer's tournament (the Arnold Palmer Invitational), and now I want to win Gary Player's tournament."
