BEREA ― There's a long weekend waiting for the Browns in a little more than 24 hours. After that, there's the long regular-season grind waiting for them. But first, the Browns will have their final practice before they fully transition into regular-season mode when they get on the field Sept. 2. It will be the start of their transition into preparations for season-opening opponent Jacksonville. The Browns continue to tinker with the 53-man roster now that the initial deadline has come and gone. They've already added three to the roster who weren't part of the organization prior to this week.
More than anything, they're starting to figure out exactly what their rotations are and who'll play exactly where within the initial game plan of the season. Crystalizing would be a better way to describe the process. However you want to describe it, the ultimate goal is the same. It's about making sure all the Ts are crossed and Is are dotted, or whatever other way you want to sum up the final 11 days before the opener. Follow along here as the Browns continue to make news and roster moves on Sept. 2.
