Warwickshire Women have brought in New Zealand all-rounder Brooke Halliday to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the 2026 season. The 30-year-old left-handed batter and right-arm medium bowler will provide valuable experience across both batting and bowling as the club looks to finish the campaign strongly.

Halliday brings an impressive international record to the Midlands club. The Hamilton-born cricketer made her ODI debut on February 23, 2021, against England, followed by her T20I debut on March 3, 2021, also against the same opposition. She has since accumulated 55 ODI caps and 63 T20I caps, amassing over 2,100 runs across international formats. In ODIs specifically, Halliday has compiled 1,462 runs at an average of 34.00, with a career-best unbeaten 157 and nine half-centuries. She has also taken 16 international wickets with the ball, establishing herself as a batting all-rounder.

"Brooke is a proven international performer who gives us quality, experience and balance to the squad. Her ability to contribute with the bat is crucial and having her as an option with the ball will be a huge asset, and we're delighted to have her with us for the remainder of the season," Ali Maiden, Warwickshire Head Coach, was quoted as saying by Cricket World.

International credentials and franchise experience

Halliday arrives with valuable franchise cricket experience in the women's game. She has previously played in the Women's Big Bash League for Perth Scorchers, gaining exposure to high-quality domestic competition in Australia. Her addition to Warwickshire strengthens the squad's depth in both batting and bowling as the club pursues its objectives for the remainder of the season.

"I'm really excited to join Warwickshire Women and experience domestic cricket in England. The club has big ambitions and I'm looking forward to meeting the squad, contributing wherever I can and helping the team finish the season strongly," Halliday said (via the aforementioned source).

Warwickshire will have Halliday's services available to them immediately, as they hope for a strong run towards the end of the season.
