Brighton reject £7.5m Rangers bid for winger Amario Cozier-Duberry Brighton & Hove Albion have turned down a second bid from Rangers for winger Amario Cozier-Duberry. BBC Sport claims the Scottish Premiership giants submitted an offer worth £7.5 million. Cozier-Duberry spent last on loan at Bolton Wanderers in League One. He bagged ten goals and ten assists in 41 appearances across all competitions, and was in the league’s Team of the Season. The right winger joined Brighton after his contract with Arsenal expired in 2024. He has two years left on his contract. Rangers need quality attacking additions, following the serious knee injury suffered by Youssef Chermiti last week. They were in talks to sign Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven, but a failed medical caused the transfer to fall through. They may return for Cozier-Duberry, whose situation with the Seagulls is unclear. Brighton spent around £20 million on Zadok Yohanna and have Yankuba Minteh on their books. Minteh picked up an injury earlier this month and is set for a few months on the sidelines, which may have factored into the club’s thinking. Rangers will have to make a better offer for the former Arsenal youngster or look elsewhere for reinforcements before the summer transfer window closes. They recorded a 5-1 victory over St Mirren in the Scottish Cup on Sunday to end a miserable start to the new campaign. New manager Derek McInnes is eager to strengthen the squad, particularly in defence and on the wings.
