Former Gophers tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys, according to Adam Schefter.

He signed with his home-state Gophers as a three-star prospect in the 2018 recruiting class.
Spann-Ford had a six-year career with the Gophers, and he played more than 2,200 offensive snaps. He finished his college tenure with 95 catches for 1,061 yards and seven touchdowns. He went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft before landing with the Dallas Cowboys
Spann-Ford worked his way onto the Cowboys roster, and he played 304 offensive snaps as rookie in 2024. He played 300 snaps last season, and he has totaled 18 catches for 178 yards and one touchdown in his two-year career. Jake Ferguson is the No. 1 tight end for Dallas, but Spann-Ford’s extension, essentially confirms his spot in the No. 2 role.
