The Minnesota Vikings play football tomorrow when they face off against the New York Giants. Both teams are coming off disappointing seasons in 2025, and both have a new season to feel optimistic.

For the Vikings, all eyes will be on their new quarterback Kyler Murray, while the Giants will have a new head coach roaming the sidelines in John Harbaugh. Harbaugh brings with him a veteran presence that they have not had on the Giants' sideline in some time. Meanwhile, Murray will bring an athleticism to the quarterback position that the Vikings have not enjoyed in quite a while.

To get a better and more unique angle of the game, we asked Giants Wire's lead writer Dan Benton some questions about the new-look team playing in New York.

Q: What type of change in their approach do you think the Giants will have under John Harbaugh compared to Brian Daboll?

A: Absolutely nothing will be the same. Every single thing the Giants do, both on and off the field, has been completely overhauled and revamped by Harbaugh. The offensive and defensive schemes greatly differ, the practice and media schedules have been altered, the way players train and work out has changed, and that list can continue on for hours. Specific to the field, the Giants will be a run-heavy, two-tight-end team, while they will play more aggressively with press man on defense. It's the exact opposite of what the Giants did under Brian Daboll.

Q: Which rookie are Giants fans most excited to see?

A: Arvell Reese. Easily. He has flashed throughout the offseason and dominated during training camp. How he slipped to the Giants at No. 5 overall is beyond me, especially seeing him firsthand. He's a do-it-all player who absorbs coaching and never makes the same mistake twice. It will be interesting to see him in live action with bullets flying against a different team.

Q: Is there a UDFA who has been shining in camp for the Giants?

A: It's not exactly a flashy choice, but kicker Dominic Zvada has displayed a booming leg and impressive accuracy. He leads Ben Sauls for the starting job and is far and away the team's best undrafted rookie.

Q: What is a position battle no one is talking about with the Giants?

A: It's New York, so everything is covered like a blanket. I genuinely do not think a single positional battle has flown under the radar, but if I had to make a choice, I'd say the CB1 battle no one realized existed initially. Many assumed Paulson Adebo would maintain the starting job alongside free-agent signing Greg Newsome, but Deonte Banks has somehow clawed his way back into contention. Yes, that Deonte Banks. He has surprised all onlookers this summer and has stolen starting reps from Adebo. I would expect to see a lot of him on Saturday.

Q: What would need to happen for the Giants to walk away happy with their performance?

A: No injuries. I think that's the key going into every single preseason game, and it will be the primary focus on Saturday -- keep everyone healthy. As far as football is concerned, the Giants would like to see their offense function better than it has throughout camp. They've struggled against Dennard Wilson's defense and need to find their footing in all aspects with the regular season nearing.
