The Chicago Bears didn't really address their edge-rushing issue throughout the offseason, but it always felt like something was going to come at any given moment. Even now, there's still a sense that Chicago will improve on the defensive side of the football and find a guy who can get to the quarterback at a very high level.

Unfortunately for the Bears, unless they make a blockbuster deal before the start of the season, there really aren't a ton of guys out there who can help them on that side of things. One player who could make sense would require the Bears to take a risk in Joey Bosa.

Bosa has been a nice player throughout his career, but has dealt with a boatload of injuries and, frankly, just isn't what he once was. Despite that reality, some believe it would be a good idea for him to land in Chicago, with one prediction seeing just that.

“The Chicago Bears have been mum on adding a high-end pass rusher, which sounds like they’re going to go the cheap route and turn to a player like Joey Bosa to give them at least some better production. Montez Sweat and Bosa lined up opposite each other looks a lot better than just Sweat by himself. The Bears could still make a move for Kayvon Thibodeaux, Josh Sweat or even Maxx Crosby, though it seems like those options are less likely. Bosa makes sense here because it’s similar to him signing in Buffalo last year,” Wynston Wilcox wrote.

A better idea for the Bears is to probably go out and try to make a trade for one of the players that Wilcox listed.

If I were Chicago, I'd probably wait until around the trade deadline and take my chance on Maxx Crosby being available again. For the time being, Bosa wouldn't be a bad option on a cheap deal, but if he's looking for an unrealistic price, I'd go in a different direction.
